DREAMTALE Part Ways With Guitarist
October 12, 2004Guitarist Esa Orjatsalo has left Finnish metallers DREAMTALE. Esa's official statement on the matter is as follows:
"For the past few months now, I have many times noticed my lack of interest to be part of DREAMTALE anymore. In this situation I had to be honest with myself and make the only decision that was right for me. It is time for me and DREAMTALE to go separate ways. There were not any big disagreements or fighting leading to my decision. The band did understand my choice. I just couldn't give that 100% participation to DREAMTALE anymore, and that was not fair towards the band or the fans. Other things just became more important in my life than DREAMTALE.
"During the past five years I have been able to play with great musicians, met and made friends with some extraordinary people and visited places I’ve always wanted to go. I would like to thank Rami, Pete, Turkka, Pasi and Jarkko (and of course the other people who have played with me in DREAMTALE) for the past years. I sincerely wish DREAMTALE best of luck in the future. I would also like to thank all DREAMTALE fans for the past years; it has truly been a pleasure to play for you.
"My future plans are still unknown to me, but I will continue to make music, either as a musician or as a sound engineer/producer. See you around, either on tour or in studio."
DREAMTALE recently spent time at Timo Tolkki's (STRATOVARIUS) Goldenworks studio recording their third album for Spinefarm Records, with Tolkki producing. Rough demo samples of two songs that are set to appear on the upcoming CD are available for download from the group's web site: "Wings of Icaros" (mp3),"Projectname Vilkkumaa" (mp3).
The follow-up to last year's "Ocean's Heart" will be the group's first to feature new vocalist Jarkko Ahola, who replaced Tomi Viiltola in September.
